My name is Julianne (Juli) Scamardo, and I am a geomorphologist who studies how rivers and streams respond and are resilient to natural and anthropogenic disturbances such as floods, fires, storms, and land use change.

I combine field-based measurements with remote sensing and numerical modeling in order to understand river and floodplain dynamics across scales. 

I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Vermont in the Cooperative Institute for Research to Operations in Hydrology. Please reach out if you would like to learn more or collaborate!
